Last month, SQUARE ENIX?s Official Goods Online Shop was compromised and temporarily shut down.
It is now being reported that SQUARE ENIX (Japan) has announced that the store will not be returning and it is assumed that the same will go for the online store in other regions. Credit card information was not compromised due to this breach. However names, addresses, phone numbers, gender, birthday and e-mail addresses appear to have been compromised.
On the brighter side of things, it seems that more SQUARE ENIX products are appearing on Amazon lately, and Amazon doesn?t make you pay through Click & Buy and wait a month while your product ships from China.
